Adding Extensions
Extending your home is a great way to get the extra space you need without moving. I have been drawing extensions all my working life! Maybe you're thinking of enlarging your kitchen; or adding a breakfast room; or a utility room; or maybe you have the opportunity of extending at both ground and first floor level to provide additional bedrooms or an en-suite, perhaps. Extending your home is usually controlled by the Building Regulations but may not need Town Planning consent, I can advise you of the options available in your particular case.
Give me a call on 01702 300 101 or mail me at mail@markhipsey.co.uk to arrange a free consultation. This will be your opportunity to state your aims and describe your dreams. I will advise you on the likelihood of getting consent under the Town Planning Act, if applicable. I may also be able to suggest an appropriate development that does not require Planning consent. We will be able to discuss options, explore alternatives and identify the best way to achieve your goal. I will then be able to set out what needs to be done and how to proceed.
I will need to return to take measurements, levels, photo's etc. so that I can prepare the necessary drawing(s). I'll have to measure your house and the garden. I'll need to assess the distance, height and orientation of your house with your neighbours'. I'll also need to plot and identify all tree growth within 30.0M. I might even need to measure your shed!
Then I will then visit you again with the completed drawing. I'll point out the various elements and describe the scheme in it's finished form.
