Rooms in the Roof
Forming rooms in the roof is a great way to get extra accommodation without moving. Getting the best out of converting the roof space depends on good design. I have a long and successful history in designing rooms in the roof, marrying the strictures of the many (and often conflicting) regulations with a flair for making the best of the limited space. Extending into the roof space is usually controlled by the Building Regulations but may not need Town Planning consent, I can advise you of the options available in your particular case.
Give me a call on 01702 300 101 or mail me at mail@markhipsey.co.uk to arrange a free consultation. This will be your opportunity to state your aims and describe your dreams. I will advise you on the likelihood of getting consent under the Town Planning Act, if applicable. I may also be able to suggest an appropriate development that does not require Planning consent. We will be able to discuss options, explore alternatives and identify the best way to achieve your goal. I will then be able to set out what needs to be done and how to proceed.
I will need to return to take measurements, levels, photos' etc. so that I can prepare the necessary drawing(s).
Then I will then visit you again with the completed drawing. I'll point out the various elements and describe the scheme in it's finished form.
